Abstract:
In this session, we’ll explore the new capabilities of Mobile Device Management with Configuration Manager with Intune. Mobile Device Management has been a feature of System Center Configuration Manager for years now, but often one or more capabilities critical to meeting the requirements of many enterprise environments. Service Pack 1 for Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 introduced a heap of new features to manage mobile devices with Configuration Manager. Are these new features enough to close the gaps and make it a viable Mobile Device Management platform for the enterprise?

Description:
This session will start with an overview of ConfigMgr with Intune MDM capabilities, both new and existing. Next, we’ll review some of the most common Mobile Device Management requirements in an enterprise environment. Then, through demonstration and explanations, you’ll see how each requirement can (or cannot) be met with System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2 SP1 and Intune. This session will conclude with a summary assessment of solution’s ability to meet enterprise MDM requirements.
